I have officially changed the name of my business to Traverse Technology. I am putting more of a focus on being the best Atlanta WordPress Designer that I can be. WordPress is a great platform for building web sites, not just blogs. You can read more about WordPress at their web site.

I will be adding more content on the new web site about the advantages of using WordPress as your web site platform. I will continue creating custom web sites such as database driven web sites and ecommerce web sites, but my new focus will be primarily on WordPress and how it can benefit your business.

Deep Roots Technology – What Does It Mean?

I haven’t officially made the change yet, but I am playing around with the idea of changing the business name. I have been 911 PC Repair, Inc. for quite a few years, but I have come to think that the name may be limiting. It sounds like all I do is repair computers, but I can and do so much more than that. I work with networks, servers, design web sites, consulting and training. So to me the name 911 PC Repair, Inc. doesn’t tell you what I am capable of.

The new name I am thinking about is Deep Roots Technology. Why, you ask? Here is one of my favorite scriptures and a big influence into the name:

For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:8

The way I see it my “roots” are deep into several things.

God. Without him in my life there is nothing.
Family. I love my wife and sons.
Country. God bless the USA!

And of course the “Technology” part of the name… Well what can I say? I am a geek!

Once again this isn’t final, but I am sure I will be making steady changes toward this new name and image. I just wanted to clarify the different name if you noticed

Site Redesign – Finally!

There’s an old saying that cobbler’s children have no shoes, boy is that true! The main part of my business is computer repair, and I also design web sites for small businesses, but I have had a not so good online representation of my business lately. Lots of good intentions, but not good follow-through. Well I am finally making some headway. I have installed Wordpress and hacked a theme to finally get me up and running.

This is the first of many blog posts to come. I have some great topics to discuss with you and I am hoping that through this blog I will be able to help you with your computers plus maybe save you some money.

I am still working on the web site so if you come across a page and it doesn’t look completed – it probably isn’t Just bare with me a little while longer as I get all of my content into place. In the meantime you are more than welcome to email me at chardy@cdswebdesign.com.

Oh I almost forgot… I will be changing the name of the company to Computer & Design Solutions in the very near future. I am doing this because I want to make people more aware of the other services I offer such as web site design, search engine optimization, online marketing and more.
